Strictly Sarrie

Covid-19 update : april 2021

During the recent COVID-19 pandemic we were able to offer a variety of resources for our participants to utilize online. A multitude of lockdown’s has meant that we have been unable to deliver classes to our young people face to face. Because of this, we have been offering free pre-recorded inclusive dance classes in our #togetheractive online series which participants can partake in as and when they please online. We have also offered young people all over the UK a chance to join in with us in our live online classes free of charge, giving them the opportunity to interact and engage with our coaches and volunteers as well as other young people with additional needs.

We were able to make a great impact in our existing beneficiaries lives and double in numbers with new beneficiaries during the COVID-19 outbreak through our online classes. This impact, we hope, will continue to grow as we phase into face-to-face classes from 12th April 2021. Strictly Sarrie will be running face-to-face from April, however our #togetheractive video series will still be available to access for those not able to attend face-to-face sessions.

All face-to-face classes are run in a fully COVID-19 secure environment and all coaches have undertaken COVID-19 awareness training for your safety.

Strictly Sarrie

Strictly Sarrie is our dance disability project aimed at young people aged 11+. In classes, participants will learn basic dance technique as well as routines and freestyle skills that they will have the opportunity to showcase in fantastic performance opportunities throughout the year. Opportunities have included but are not limited to performing at Wembley and StoneX Stadium! Our Strictly Sarrie project aims at and has been proven to not only improve physical health in young people but also their mental health too. We aim to provide our Strictly Sarrie participants with a highly engaging, interactive, and inclusive environment where they can learn and develop dance and social skills, but also have a healthier lifestyle, gain confidence, creativity and most importantly, have fun!
