Prison Programmes

The Get Onside prison programme utilises rugby as a tool to engage both adult and young offenders in educational, motivational and physical activities, where they develop a strong set of personal values, improve their social connections and develop fundamental employability skills that will support them to overcome the challenges reintegrating into society post release.

The 8 week course is designed to provide an opportunity for positive activity inside prisons – improving discipline, resilience and behaviour – and directly supports offenders through the gate to break free of the justice system and build a stable, rewarding life they can be proud of.

Our award-winning programme in HMP YOI Feltham provides over 40 young people aged 18-21 years old the opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge, develop resilience and reflect on their own life experiences. The programme aims to support participants in making positive choices following release. This impact of this programme is evident in the reduction in reoffending rates from 69% to 15% for people that have undertaken the Get Onside programme.
